Greenville Flea Market
by Aron Daniels
“This is not what I expected when I walked in here!” Greenville Flea Market delights and surprises visitors again and again. One visit is all it takes to get hooked, and owner Debbie James is constantly working to bring an incredible experience to visitors and to make a place for vendors to show off what they do best.
With enticing vendor spaces inside and out, it’s clear that three years of hard work have been worth it. Treasure hunters find amazing pieces around every corner. Dining room tables, a set of antique cabinets that for a home office, a painting that would be perfect above your coffee maker… and that’s just inside the building’s foyer. Swing open the door to the main showroom and it all comes to life.
The large warehouse is transformed into a little town, with individual vendor shops separated by shabby-chic palette walls. Walking from one section to another, visitors are greeted by friendly faces and a wide range of unique wares. It’s everything you could want in a weekend trip to the Flea Market, with added heart. It’s clean, thoughtfully presented and diverse.
Each shop has a mix of different offerings. Find a perfect dress for date night, a new suit for your husband, a movie for your kids. You can find a table for beside your bed, a hand-made holiday wreath for your front door, a new bed for the guest room, and tons of beautiful jewelry. Wrap up your perfect flea market excursion with one of the best hotdogs in Greenville at the Doggone Good Hotdog Stand. Now that is a perfect trip. All you need is more hands to carry it all.
With the holiday season quickly approaching, Greenville Flea Market is the perfect place to find special gifts for friends and family while supporting local vendors in our community.
Although Greenville Flea Market is a place of business, it is more about community than commerce. James and the other vendors have a created a culture of that revolves around helping neighbors and meeting needs.
Greenville Flea Market embodies the definition of going-local. Visit this great business and you will find some unique items for your friends and family while truly impacting local small business owners and their families.
