Lauren LaMantia

Mother. Wife. Small Business Owner. Career Counselor. Cancer Survivor. Shoe Addict. A woman to watch, that takes a licking and keeps on ticking, comparing her to Timex, as her grandparents always said.

Lauren, co-owner of Cucina LaMantia, Greenville’s only Sicilian Ristorante, with her husband Charlie, Executive Chef, is known for being dynamic, driven, her sometimes too fast Jersey talk, and a “beast” for getting things done. Lauren’s career has focused on education and small business ownership from experience in the classroom, non-profit, and higher education to ventures in sports, fashion, career counseling, and marketing.

From 9-5, Lauren services students and graduates of Berkeley College, based in NJ and NY, as a Career Counselor and Business Developer. You can find her conducting FaceTime appointments with eager interns and connecting with top employers in the field to match students, interns and graduates on the path to success.  All with enthusiasm and personal insight, Lauren states, “Put yourself out there with kindness, an incomparable work ethic, and a personality that makes people remember you.”  As a Certified Professional Resume Writer, Lauren also assists those looking to return to the workforce, develop their resumes, learn the top job search strategies, and set career goals though Menko Career Services.

That daytime enthusiasm now takes Lauren to her “night job” at Cucina LaMantia. Focused on marketing, relationship building, and business development (and going nowhere near the kitchen), Lauren greets every guest and makes a point to know their names and engages with the crowd. A day well done leaves her feet aching from high heels, an occasional eyelash removal or two, and her mind filling up with ideas for the next day.
