Sneak Veggies: Veggies for Dinner
By Michelle Dunston
You may consider yourself a steak and potatoes kind of person, if so, you can add some veggies there too. Consider just a few ideas to increase that veggie intake. A great option is to replace mashed potatoes with mashed cauliflower. You get the same comforting texture with fewer carbs. If you are not ready to give up the potatoes quite yet, start with a 50/50 blend.
Pasta may be what you crave for dinner. In that case, spiralize zucchini or squash and top these veggie noodles with your favorite sauce, protein and even more veggies for a quick, easy dinner. It’s a simple way to reduce your calories and increase your vegetable intake.
